Ok, so with baby turning away, you can't really see anything interesting...

hmmmm....not much to look at here, either. Except for the baby's cute little okole! (that's the rear-end, for those who don't speak pidgin') I think we're getting a feel of baby's personality already!

Although it's quite amazing how detailed you can see baby in the womb these days! This was Mitch's first time seeing an ultrasound (we didn't have one with Kela and Anna only got "scanned" at 13 weeks and Mitch was working that day...

but...the doctor couldn't see anything either, which leads us to...

The Money Shot:

So, as you can see, baby number 3 will be yet another girl for the Seavey household. I swear, Mitch must not have any working "Y" chromosomes!! My family thinks he needs to eat more meat...or that I need to loosen up and be less controlling...who knows? I think it's because Kela keeps asking for another little sister and keeps wanting to name her "A.C" !? I don't know where she gets that name from--maybe it's because we always have the a/c on in the car? We rarely use it at home...although it has been quite warm these last couple of days...Anyway, I guess I won't know whether my Mother-in-law is right or wrong: she's always (and I mean ALWAYS) insisting that girls are much harder to raise than boys...despite the fact that I find this a bit frustrating and at times, get a bit defensive...girls are taxing emotionally, that's for sure!

Oh well, at least I don't have to do any more new shopping--and I pretty much have the whole "girl-raising" thing down. I probably wouldn't know what to do with a little boy! The Lord sees fit for me to raise another girl and I'm just grateful that she's healthy (so far!) and right on schedule (due the beginning of August). Horray for little girls!

happy birthday to me!

Wow! I'm finally 25 years old! hee hee, just kidding. Well...for those of you who know my real age, no need comment. =)
For this day that I must admit, I don't look forward to as much as I used to, Mitch and I got a short relaxing break from the kiddies and had a nice and quiet lunch together. It's always a treat to eat out without the hassle of forks on the floor, spilled drinks, messy tablecloths...etc., etc..

After everyone took a nap (including me), we drove out to Waikiki for a short sunset stroll around Ala Moana beach park. We barely caught the tail-end of the sun setting into the ocean...didn't see any green flash-but it was a nice sunset anyway.

It was a nice and quiet day-which was perfect for me. Also, since we already celebrated with cake and singing the night before at Aunty Airi's house... oh, what the heck, I'll throw in a pic from last night as well.

from a few weeks ago...

Ok, so when I started this blog, I really believed my life was more interesting than it really is...so there's not too much going on in the Seavey household as of right now.

So, I thought I'd post a pic of an even that happened a few weeks ago when Obachan (my Mom) was here, and Elika's baby Kashus was blessed at church.

Dean is one proud Papa, since he's been dreaming of a little "Dean Jr." since before Aya was born. And even more so, since baby Kashus is a spittin' image of Dean...we all agree-there's no Elika in him whatsoever.

daddy works too much!

The other day, we were out in public and Kela asks Mitch what we're doing tomorrow...to which Mitch replies, "Daddy has to go to work!" Kela then says, "Daddy you just worked last time! You work too much!" Some nearby Mom heard and said, "They always miss their Daddy, huh?" We all had to chuckle at the irony of it all...for those of you who don't know, Mitch is a pilot and averages working about 10-12 days a MONTH! Being on "reserve" (sort of like on-call) means you have to be on alert a lot, but most days go by without a call & he gets the day off. But ever since we returned from our trip to Arizona, Mitch has basically been working 5 days a week! (I know, like normal people, right?) And last week, he actually worked 6 days all in a row. So, from Kela's point of view, he really is working a lot! Granted, his days are like half-days and comes home a little after noon everyday, but it's still a lot compared to what we're used to. I told my sister's this and they laughed because they're always teasing us that Mitch is home all the time! They always seem surprised when I say that he's at work! I don't think Mitch thinks that's as funny as the rest of us do...

I guess I'm pretty spoiled in that department. Mitch is available to relieve me of the kids quite a bit so I can get things done like running (or walking, now that I have a melon around my waist) or shopping (groceries, of course...ask any mom and they'll tell you that grocery shopping without kids is a LUXURY!)
So, yea, I should really be counting my blessings.

Kela, Anna & Cassie

So, it was cousin Kumen's birthay last week and since he looooves horses and ponies, my sister decided to rent a couple of ponies for the kiddieo's to ride. Which was good because he basically refused to let anyone else ride Chevy, the larger pony...so everyone else got to take turns riding Cassie. She was so tiny and had the cutest heart on her okole (butt). Kela and Anna got to ride all by themselves and they absolutely loved it. Thank goodness for the belt they had strapped around them, because Anna kept leaning to one side, but they must have rode that pony atleast 4 or 5 times around Airi's big backyard. And because the yard was all dirt and grass, the ponies loved it too! Although the trick was keeping the ponies from stopping to snack on the weeds throughout the one-hour session...

Yea! So, I'm a conformist...

So, I decided to go against my better judgment (and Mitch's requests not to) to start a blog for our family. My family webspace is fairly limiting when it comes to file sizes, videos, etc., so I couldn't help but feel like I needed another avenue to showcase our family happenings. For all our family and friends so far away, hopefully, this will be an easier way to keep up with the Seavey's ( the other Seavey's ) and all the exciting-and sometimes not so exciting-events that take place in our little growing family.
