easter sunday

Easter Sunday came early (again) this year, arriving at the end of March
Seriously, who decides these things anyway?  Easter in March?
Anyway, we all got together at my sister Airi's house for some serious egg-hunting with the cousins.

I don't think there was an "official" count...but I'm pretty sure there were upwards of 200 candy-filled plastic eggs.  We enlisted the older kids to do the hiding, while the younger kids did the hunting.
While the parents did the cooking, lounging about, and talking story.
Nice!
The eggs were hidden all over Airi's house-both inside and out.  But mostly outside in their huge yard!

Those vertically challenged got a little boost from Daddy now and again.

While some others simply had to jump.  Those sneaky teenagers, I tell ya!

 Some of their loot.
As if they need any more candy...
(What the kids are unaware of, is that later on Mommy and Daddy will go through their eggs and throw away any "junk" candy.  And by "junk," I mean anything that isn't M&M's, Butterfingers, Hersey's or Snickers.)

Kaden happened to find the Golden Egg.
Not that there was anything special inside it, mind you.  But simply the prestige of finding the Golden Egg.  Can you tell how thrilled he is?

Here's the whole gang, after the egg-hunt.
Some are more distracted than others...

And then it was dinner time.  We banished  kindly asked the kids to eat outdoors...less clean-up.  ;)

Can you tell Caleb loves noodles?

While Kaden was all about the brownies.
No surprise there.

And as we were winding down...the little ones huddled around the iPad for a little Pingu time.

The kids were all tired, but so very happy to be taking home some serious candy!
And, of course, some fun memories of playing with their cousins.
Happy Easter everyone!
