beach all day

It's Saturday!  We just returned from an awesome vacation to Seattle, and what do you know...

it's LOW TIDE!

And since we can't miss such a great opportunity at the end of Spring Break, we decide to hit the beach.  

All Day!

 And since we can't miss an opportunity to spend time with cousins either, we called them up and invited them along!  Who doesn't love hunting for crabs and fish in tide pools?

 Poor fish...Kaden kept throwing sand on them!

 Here's Anna...she's a pretty good fish catcher!

 Jojo and Luke kept busy playing "Power Rangers" on the sand instead of fishing for hermit crabs like usual.

The nets they are holding was purely for show.  And used as weapons in their "Power Rangers mock fights."

 After tide pooling, we met up with some friends at San Souci beach for some real swimming.

 Swimming late into the evening...soaking up the very last rays of sun before Spring Break ends.

 After swimming, we had a nice picnic dinner on the grass next to the beach.

Not pictured is all the running around and tree climbing the kids were doing before and after eating their dinners. :)

If only Spring Break lasted longer than a week....
