That's literally exactly what it felt like. Just a short little 3-day trip to visit Mitch's family in Arizona. I wasn't sure if 3 days would be worth enduring a 5 1/2 hour flight there and back...but you know what?
I think it was worth it!
It's always nice to get together with family...especially when they have cousins that are close in age with our kids. Kai just turned 4 years old, so falls right in between Kela and Anna, age-wise. They had a BLAST playing together from morning 'till night. Well, evening, actually-- since Kai goes to bed at around 6 pm.
But still, the girls love their cousin Kai.
And then there's little Reina. She's 3 months older than Jolee. They seem to be fascinated by each other...and whenever we put them together, they stare, smile and reach for one another. I can't wait until they are older and can run around and play together, too!

This was the closest to summer that we have ever visited Arizona. We usually trek out there in the winter time...but it being May already, you can imagine how HOT the weather was! The first couple of days were pretty mild--maybe 90's. The day before we left, I'm pretty sure the temperature reached triple digits...surprisingly, it didn't feel TOO hot. It was actually quite bearable. But then again, it is only May...don't think we'll ever experience the REAL Arizona heat in mid-summer. May was warm enough, thank you very much. :)
Splash parks are the BEST! I can't believe someone didn't think up of these sooner! Or why Hawaii hasn't jumped on the bandwagon and created one of these yet! LOVE THEM!!

Is Arizona hot like Las Vegas hot? Or hotter? To me, Las Vegas hot is like standing in front of an open 400 degree oven. That wave of heat! That Splash Park looks super fun! Is it free? It looks really clean, which is an added plus. Glad you had such a good time!
