three years and counting...

Happy Birthday to our little "Anna Banana" who turned three years old this week! How fast the time flies by!
Here's a brief look back three years ago...
Arrived into this world exactly on her due date, early in the morning on April 25, 2006.

One of the first things we noticed about Anna was her big eyes!
Here she is checking out Daddy...she is only a few hours old and already soaking up her surroundings.

About 4 days old with her big sister, Kela (who looks so tiny!!).

Anna was a bit jaundiced for the first week or so (hence, her orange-y coloring)...but still-those EYES! Always looking around and checking things out. That's our Anna.

In traditional Seavey family fashion, we celebrated Anna's birthday not once, not twice, but THREE times! Yep, no skimping on the celebrations here!
First was at her preschool with her classmates. Then on her actual birthday, Aunty Airi came over with Kumen, Rumi, Seina and Riho. We had ramen (her favorite food) and some chocolate cake. Mmm...
But, since Daddy was working on that day, the BIG celebration was on Sunday with all of her cousins (in Hawaii, that is). Some good food, great company and cupcakes and ice cream.
Not a bad way to celebrate turning three years-old, eh?

Three things on Anna:
  1. Loves to sing and dance. She's often making up songs and singing them to herself while playing. I gotta get it on camera one of these days...
  2. Is one tough cookie. A big personality packed into a tiny little body. She could easily take Kela on-and on many occasions, make Kela cry.
  3. Finally, after 2 1/2 years, has kicked the finger sucking habit. We still tape her finger at nighttime...but now doesn't fight it. Yippee!!!

Happy Birthday Anna! Wow, you'll have to tell me what you did for her to kick that finger sucking - I feel like Maya will never stop!
